If you're looking for a new best friend, look no further than Metoo! She's happy to follow you around the house or yard, wherever you go. In fact, she got her name because when some people were looking at another dog in her run at the shelter, Metoo kept jumping and wagging her tail as if to say, "Me, too! Take me, too!" And how could anyone leave those big brown eyes behind?

Can you believe anyone would leave a cute kitten in a cage out in the hot sun? That's exactly what someone did to Zelda, putting her by the side of a country road in a wire cage with a "FREE KITTEN" sign. By the time a group of ARFP volunteers found her, she could barely lift her head, she was so weak from the heat. But with lots of TLC, she's become a frisky, happy little girl who's ready to find a home that'll never leave her stranded ever again!

For their safety and the safety of others, all dogs should be leashed and all cats should be in carriers.
Mark your calendars! The annual ARFP book sale has been scheduled for November 14 & 15, 2008. This year's event promises to be even bigger and better than ever. We'll post more details here as they become available.
And, of course, if you have books, DVDs, or CDs to donate to the sale, you can drop them off at the Next Step Adoption Center on Milner Drive in Greensboro during open hours.
Did you know that you can donate to ARFP through United Way? Even though we aren't a listed United Way charity, you can still earmark that your yearly United Way donation go to ARFP.
How about those old gold rings, necklaces, and bracelets from past relationships? Or Mom's jewelry she thought you'd love, but it's really so outdated it just takes up space in your drawers? Donate it to ARFP! Your old gold could pay for vaccinations for a litter of kittens, spay a mother cat, or treat a dog for heartworms. We are in the midst of kitten and puppy season, therefore in the midst of our costliest time of the year. Your gold can be turned into money for ARFP!
Don't have any gold jewelry? Hit up friends and co-workers to donate theirs! Receipts gladly given!
You knew GoodSearch was a great way to raise money for ARFP just by searching the Web. But did you know you can GoodShop, too?
Choose Animal Rescue & Foster Program as the charity you're supporting on the GoodShop page. Then go through GoodShop to visit the same online retailers you normally shop at -- places like PetSmart; Barnes & Noble; Target; Staples; and iTunes -- and pay the same price for products that you normally would. The retailers will donate a percentage of your purchase price to ARFP to help us save homeless pets!
If you could help save pets just by doing something you already do every day, would you? Of course! With GoodSearch, you can. Searching with GoodSearch is just like searching with Yahoo Search; they both use the same engine. The only difference is when you designate ARFP as your charity, GoodSearch donates money to us every time you use it to search the Web. It doesn't cost anything to use GoodSearch, and there's no limit to how many times you can search each day.
For 2007, ARFP earned $274 thanks to our supporters who use GoodSearch. At a penny a search, that's 27,400 searches to save homeless pets! And you can help us do even better this year!

You can see ARFP pets available for adoption every week at one of our adoption fairs. Check out the calendar on the Upcoming Events page to see where ARFP will be this month, or visit us at one of our regular adoption fairs:
It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it! When you bring your used cell phones and printer cartridges*, we recycle them -- and get money in return to help save more homeless pets. So you get to help twice -- first by keeping old cell phones and printer cartridges out of landfills, and then by helping us raise money to save homeless pets.
You can drop off your old cell phones and printer cartridges at the Next Step Adoption Center during any open hours.
And spread the news to friends and co-workers by downloading the attached flyer!
*Not sure if we can recycle your printer cartridge? Check the list!
